facts about Mark
7 years old
Started to dance at the age of 7. He soon took part in competitions initially as a medallist competitor then onto the open circuit in Juvenile pairs events.
Juvenile
In 1980, he was 4th in the International Championships at the Royal Albert Hall in the Latin section. He continued competing as a Juvenile until 1985 when he partner with Jayne Brown

Pre Champ
He joined the Adult section with Jayne Brown in 1985.
Not long after they both found success in the Pre Champ grade winning almost every competition in both Ballroom and Latin for nearly TWO years!
1988
In 1988, they become British National Youth Ballroom Champions & went on to travel the world competing in Ballroom, Latin and 10 Dance.

10 Dance
They were the:
3 x UK 10 Dance Champions,
4th European 10 Dance Finalist,
World 10 Dance Finalist

Professionals
Mark and Jayne turned Professionals in 1994.
They won the British National Show Dance Championship, Closed UK Ballroom Championship and UK 10 Dance a further THREE times!
1999
They continued both in the UK and Internationally, winning many events until they retired in 1999.
Retiring to concentrate on building their successful dance school.

Appearances
They have demonstrated and coached all over the world.
Also appearing on TV countless times such as the original Strictly Come Dancing, the very first Shall We Dance film, Music Videos and TV adverts.
Coaching
Training many successful Formation Teams, 3 times British Champion wins.
Mark, former president of the Formation Teacher Alliance. 2010 winners of Carl Allen Award for Teaching services.
UKA Dance
Mark has also been responsible for revising the Ballroom and Latin Technique books for UKA Dance, and has been a fellow and examiner for many years.
